Pull The Trigger.

Write about a noise — or even a silence — that won’t go away. (We’ll let you interpret this in different ways…) Show ANXIETY.

There is this noise inside her head that lingers around and never goes away. It’s made up of a lot of things, both trivial and non-trivial. Regardless of which it is, her mind automatically makes everything seem like it’s ten times worse than it actually is.

This noise is so silent yet so deafening. It consumes her soul bit by bit and she’s constantly fighting this monster that grows only on dark thoughts. It gets stronger everyday while she gets weaker. I guess it’s only a matter of time before one day, she loses herself to this monster.

She’s on the brink of being controlled by this thing. So close to it that if she does take a tiny step towards it, it’ll pull the trigger. It’s destroying every inch of her body but she doesn’t blame it because after all, who else can she blame other than herself? She feeds the monster every second she’s awake because her mind can’t stop thinking. She’s as fragile as a piece of glass that a simple word can cause panic and trigger all sorts of emotions. It’s just like what they always say, a cut may hurt your skin but words, they reach your heart.

‘What is more deadly? A gun or a thought? A gun gives you an opportunity while a thought pulls the trigger.’
